This is just an fyi to anyone interested in obtaining a puppy from her...
I purchased a female boxer from her on 1/25. Upon our initial contact via phone she seems very professional, once she received the money for the dog she became a ghost, not answering my phone calls or emails. When my emails were answered she danced around answering the question completely.
Part of her contract under health guarantee it states that: as of the delivery date the puppy has received proper vaccinations and de worming and a copy will be given to you. The buyer has been informed of these and of future vaccinations and de worming due. I never received a copy of any shots the puppy received while it was under the care of karol alva. When i called and emailed her several times clearly asking her what shots did the puppy have and when were they given, she simply replied she is up to date and is not due until week 10 to get any further shots. On her website she has her vets number, she claims to use. Looking for more answers than she is up to date, i called the vet. I called the office and the office at least knew who she was but did not see the puppies she advertised as being seen there. I kept everything that was attached to the crate, which was a bill of health from a vet in the state of missouri. I called the vet office and inquired about the puppy and its shots. The puppy was not seen by this vet either! Making the health certificate a forgery! After looking at all the paperwork i received from karol alva the lettering looks to be the same as if it was done by the same person. I spent 11 years as a police officer although i am not certified to say for a fact but i have seen enough to know! The vet in missouri confirmed that the document was indeed fraudulent and that she had not had any puppies seen in the office. The second vets office must have notified karol because she contacted me via email right away, saying i heard you called the vets office today. I responded yes i could not get a hold of you and i am trying to get shot records so i can uphold my end of your contract. She then gave me a number for a third vet who she claimed to have seen the puppy. I did not attempt to contact this vet because it was clear to me that she was not and has not been truthful to me thus far. With everything that transpired i feel the contract isnt worth the paper it was printed on! I was lucky that the puppy i got was indeed healthy and very beautiful and without any parasites. I must say that the overall experience with her was horrible and i would never deal with her again even if she was giving dogs away for free! When you pay a great deal for a puppy, something as small as a shot record should not be hard to give to the buyer! I never felt a sense of security still not truly knowing about shot records or if the dog was seen by a professional vet. It was a hassle to get the akc papers from her as well. They didn't come with the dog, and it took 2-3 weeks to get them and i asked for the shot records as well. At least i received the akc papers.
There is nothing elite about karol alva and her business! Buyers looking for great quality dogs please shop elsewhere!!
