Friends and family weekend

First of all I'm a hard worker; I try not to be rude, or offensive to achieve what needs to done. I saw the add in the paper one day, and was very attracted to the signing bonus, and $450 weekly. More than enough for me to live off of, and achieve a goal I wanted for a few years now. I was promised $10 a stop then it goes to $100 for ten stops I thought I was going to get $10 for fuel in my car cause gas is getting higher and higher. It was a bunch of crock when they said "No you only get it when you make ten stops." I didn't think anything of it when I was told to call up ten friends or family I could count on to practice. I thought it was just practice for presentation; I figured if we are just trying to be commercials for people in their homes so they could be proven that our product "Filter Queen" IAQS could do the job better than any other sweeper or air filter on the market. When I was told the price in the last class I was shocked. Kirby's sell for $1,500; what makes this thing sell for 23, or 24 hundred dollars. That's too high. I was thinking it was a negotiable price with installments, or straight up cash, but i figured it was alright considering it was just practice presentations for our friends, and family. I told them they didn't have to buy it; it was just practice so I can get certified. If they buy it great, if not it was just practice so I can get it down packed for my next step. That was about to change for my friends, and family.

At first everything was fine, the "Boss" was well mannered to my first friend, and sold, but it was too much even for them. For God sakes i was just practicing. I didn't think I was trying to sell them. I have friends and family that are in financial distress as I am. Then my relatives have a car that's failing on them, and to them getting a cleaning system for the price of a decent replacement vehicle is more important than getting a car to go to work to make money to pay for the sweeper. Wow just how everything happened on that phone call was embarrassing to me I heard every word exchanged from across the room on my cell phone. Next I had canceled appointments, and had to think on my feet, I went to a neighbors house and asked to demonstrate for them.

After two hours of showing them the "Majestic and Defender" I called the boss, and was embarrassed from the fact that the boss wasn't at an office, or at home. But at a birthday party trying to negotiate with someone who just admitted to not having work because of doctors orders, and retired. I was embarrassed; it was uncalled for. The boss could have said "Wait until I get somewhere quiet so I can hear them I'm at a birthday party just say some b.S. While I get there as if I'm telling you to do something." When I handed in my survey sheets they were disappointed in what they saw in my friends' and families' thoughts of how much it should cost. $450-$1500. It's too expensive for the area where I live. People are out of work, and struggling to make ends meet. Obviously paying for the home repairs, vehicle repairs, or even making a career decision; isn't as important as owning a "IAQS" To be honest I think it's a luxury that should be considered later on after the demo not on the spot.

Perhaps if they did some research on the region, and understand the average person's income perhaps lowering the demanding cost to a more reasonable sum perhaps it sells in New York City for that price, but not in a small town. My friends say I should stop while I'm ahead, and so does my family. And I am. My Boss was rude to my friends whom I am continuing to rebuild the friendship bridge between us.
