DVDNow is a "service" that lets you buy/serve their DVD kiosks like those Redbox/BlockBuster units you see in front of Walmart and similar places.
Fees we're $2K to buy into the right to put units in my area, and then each of the units was $8k. Units were delivered within the first week, started out great but their technology in the unit is set to not work until it gets authorization from "the company". It took them 3 months to get the units active and in that time Redbox and Blockbuster have moved into the area and eaten away at almost any/all profit I might make.
Might end up turning a profit someday but right now they're only making about $25/week, combined.
