I was selected for a two hour internet focus group, which in exchange I was to receive $75 for participating.
I received instructions that it was recommended that I arrive at the site 15) minutes early if at all possible. Unfortunately, I was unable to login (15) minutes early, but instead I tried to login when the focus group was going to start.
It took (20) minutes to get me logged in to their system due to technical difficulties.in working with their support I had to disable several of my security functions on my computer in order to login to their focus group.
Because of the delay in getting logged in they refused my participation in the focus group and I was not paid $75.
I have sent several emails to David Van Nuys, Ph. D. And e-FocusGroups, but he refuses to pay me anything for my time. Although, it was recommended you try to login early to avoid this type of situation, it was not required.
If I were a customer needing the results of a focus group in marketing my product, I would not want to use a company that does not pay their participates. I made the effort, but obviously e-FocusGroup did not!
