I moved to Kentucky around 8 years ago to escape a very abusive relationship. During that time I had to go on Welfare to feed my two children. While on Welfare I put myself through college and received a degree. With my new freedom, I established myself in a job and immediately went off of State assistance. My husband and I divorced with the understanding that he would pay $200.00 a month in child support for two children. Not enough to even cloth and feed them for a week, let alone supply all of their other needs.
Anyway, child services has been collecting child support in the form of his income taxes to pay back the money I needed when we were on Welfare. During this time of 8 years, he has accumulated almost $10,000.00 in back support. This IS a dead beat dad. For those of you out there that are getting screwed in one way or another by the system, you have every right to be upset.in all the time Welfare has been getting their money, I haven't received anything from them. They are not concerned about the children, only about the money they can get for the state.
I could be living on the street for all they care. They haven't even garnished his wages in the 8 years I've been away for him. What are they waiting for? For him to just give them the money?!!! Get real!!! He hasn't in his whole life been responsible so what makes them think he will be now.By the way, his name is David Michael Yoshikane, and he IS a DEAD BEAT DAD!
That's my story. All is true. And if anyone is offended on his behalf, don't be. I am happier without him and I got the best deal, my two children.
