At the end of September I purchased a GEN4 heater. Where I live, it doesn't turn cold until December so the heater stayed in the box until New Year's. My bill for heating that month (all electric) was $225. It is usually $100 - $175 per month. Based on the commercial that the efficiency of the heater was high I expected a much lower bill for the end of January, which was actually warmer than December. One claim in its info-mercial was that the power company believed its meter was deffective after one homeowner had installed an EdenPure heater. My bill for January was was actually $268. The only way the home owner who "fooled" the power company is either he installed a gas furnace to replace electric heaters or he upgraded his insulation. The EdenPure heater is rated at 1500 watts as are most electric heaters such as my two ceramic heaters costing about $30 each. One more thing, although the transfer of heat to the room was fast, it could not quite keep up with the chill during one night when the temperature was near zero with a wind chill below zero. I don't think this would be a good product for Canadian winters.
