I received a letter from the California Labor Compliance today in relation to a company I recently incorporated a year ago. Now I am getting a "Final Notice" saying that I must "reply by" today to waive it. The address which this letter came from was:

The letter says that I "must" pay $275 or face government fines, or audits.

I have never received any other compliance notices until now.
