Santander Consume
Repossession Procedures

My 2005 Honda Accord was financed by Santander USA. I made payment arrangements with Santander on 12/13, but car was repossessed on 12/15. I was not told where car was taken to get my personal items. All I got is a phone number to call Hi-Tech at 313-387-9805. A guy named Dennis refused to tell me their location, but repeatedly promised he would pack all in my car and deliver to me. This went on until, 12/26, Dennis dropped off a few items at my apt. To my son while I was out. I am missing a great deal of personal items, case of bottled water, Christmas candy, CDs, phone chargers, personal papers/photos, books, smokeless ashtray, air freshener, rubbing alcohol, disinfecting wipes, detergent/bleach, shoes, windshield solvent, de-icer, and many other items. I called Dennis and left him a message that I didn't receive all my personal items and he has not responded to me. Santander 800-222-4227 states they cannot assist me. It should have been the least they could do is help me since they did not honor payment arrangements made w/me due to my interruption in unemployment benefits and didn't offer me a deferment either, but told me later, I was eligible for one. How unethical was that? Letter to sell vehicle was dated 12/16.
