I had applied online for what I thought was to be a virtual assistant for QBC Hydro, LLC. When I received the emails explaining my duties I was under the impression that I would receive payments that would need to be processed online. What I really had to do was cash the check and keep 10% for myself and then go to Western Union and send the rest overseas. I received a check via fedex and called the bank that the check was drawn on to verify all the information before cashing it. Thankfully I did that because I learned the check was fraudulent. Had I not done that i would have been out almost $ thankfully I have worked in a bank before and so I knew what I needed to do. Please do not apply to be a virtual assistant for QBC HYDRO, LLC it is a scam.
