I applied for a loan with Williams, gave them (stupidly, I admit) my bank routing number on-line, —this was all on-line—and then, five minutes later, came to my senses and send them an e-mail to cancel my application. Yesterday my bank processed the $19.99 fee. I got it reversed early today but was charged $25.00 for this service by my bank, which has ruined my holiday weekend! They make it hard to contact them, —they use Outlook Express—and they have no toll free number to call. I want them to cancel my "deal" with them, want nothing further to do with Williams. They are a scam and I must partly blame myself for giving in to a holiday impulse that has turned out to be catastrophic (I'm only part-time employed, the money meant a lot). The bank advised me to change my routing number, told me to beware of such things in the future. If I don't hear back from Williams (and maybe if I do) I'm going to contact my state's attorney general's office.
