Gabe and his accomplice approached me at the Valero on Red Bluff and Center St in Pasadena. There was a third person in the back seat but the windows were too dark to be able to see in. Gabe was the driver. They showed me the systems and told me they were installing it for a client and they received a double shipment of the home entertainment system. They were wanting to sell the extra one to me for a negotiated price of $300, use the ATM at the Valero station, and they were going to split the cash so their boss would not know. Gabe showed me a magazine with articles about the Kinetic surround sound system stating it was worth $3,499.00 MSRP. Gabe would not leave me alone and I felt beyond pressured to buy it. He even put it in the bed of my truck and would not take it out until I paid him at least $200. I began to feel fear and intimidation so I paid him the $200 so he would leave me alone. I have done research on the internet and show this to be a White Van Speaker Scam and have reported it Local 2 Houston Investigates and I'm planning on filing a police report.
