I paid upfront money to secure a mortgage loan that was not income or credit driven. I received a preapproaval letter from company to purchase a single dwelling family home. There were 3 delayed closing that the company requested so the bank pulled the deal. The investor was never working on the loan, but receive submisssion fees for doing the loan. The loan was sent to another investor who wanted $10K-$20K down which was not mention when paying the upfront fees. Still today no loan or no refund from company.
