I sold my piano on Craigslist. A person emailed me stating he wanted it and his check will be coming in the next few days. I got the check for more than the asking price. When I notified the buyer, he said the extra was for the movers. I said no problem paying the movers cash when they picked up the piano. The next day he said to wire transfer the money to the moving company instead. So happy that I sold my piano, I did what he asked. Once that was done, I felt sick; like something very wrong just happened. I immediately went to the bank and reported the scam and they confirmed is was a scam and I lost $1,100.00. The email that was used for this scam is Santos Sunday (samtos. [email protected]).
