Consumer Report

I looked for Taylor Swift tickets on Craigs List and found some by a woman who went by Lisa Maris ([email protected]). She said she was a flight attendant for British Airways and the tickets were a gift for her/her clients for employee of the month. She said she could't go because her flight schedule was changed. She said we would use a company called DPD and it's a secure way for me to get the tickets and she could get the money via Western Union. I got the email that she sent the tickets overnight and paid $69 to do it. Everything looked legit. She told me to send the money via Western Union the day before I needed the tickets, because DPD delivers packages the next day at 11am. I did not check my email until all the Western Unions were closed in the area. I told her that I was unable to reach a Western Union in time and so I would not be able to wire the cash. She said it was fine if I did it the next morning, but there would be another $69 fee. She offered to pay, so I took her offer and wired my money the next morning. I then received an email from [email protected]. They said I would receive the tickets the next day, which was after the concert. I emailed DPD, Lisa Maris, and made millions of phone calls that did not go through. I was researching internet fraud and came across "DPD&Martin Hobok&Beth Capone - False Advertising for $0.00 on 07/28” on usacomplaints.com. I immediately realized I was scammed and lost $324.
