Financial Benefits
Ripoff! Fradulent credit card offer!

EDitor's UPDATE info: consumer complaints has had several complaints that victims are not receiving the refunds promised. We have been in contact with the Company and have made them aware of these issues. They have assured us that refunds are being given to those who are providing them with all the correct contact information requested by them. They have also provided confirmation of proof of over 2000 refunds to date. They, again, apologized for the delay and reported that credit to your account could take as long as 4-5 days.

Consumer complaints is hoping they will live up to what they have promised, we think they will, we'll see. We will continue to investigate more in this situation, and we will be posting an UPDATE to the main Report at this web address: https://usacomplaints.com/view.Asp? Id=76605

Please be patient, we can only tell you what they are telling us.

Financial Benefits drafted $299.00 from my checking account on 12/5/03 with the promise that I would receive a package within 15 working days which would include a credit card with a $2,000.00 limit. After waiting almost 2 months and after numerous calls, I finally received a federal express tracking number which showed that a package would be delivered to my door by January 23rd.

January 24th, I found the package thrown inside of my screen door that had been forced open and broken. I was excited about finally receiving my package and opened it immediately only to find out that the name on the membership card was that of someone else. I tried contacting and left messages with Financial Benefits for 4 days.

Finally, on January 30th I spoke with Imran Woods and was told to return the package and that I would receive a new package. Well I returned the package by Federal Express with a detailed note asking for my refund and stating that they had not fulfilled their promise and quoting their policy regarding a refund. I followed up with Jennifer on 2/4/04 (that's the name she gave me) to find out that the package was received and signed for by Kyle Reese. Someone named Peter came to the phone and said that he was the Supervisor and offered to refund me $49.00 or resend the package. I told him that I never received a package in my name and that I should be entitled to my full refund. Peter was suppose to send me a full refund and I never heard from them again. Now when I call, all I get is a continued ringing telephone.

I would also like to note that once I called and got a recording, and when they hung up, there was another customer on the line who was calling to inquire about her credit card. She stated to me that she had been waiting since before Thanksgiving and thought I was an employee of Financial Benefits. I told her that we had been connected by some fluke, but that I felt that we were being scammed by Financial Benefits. I never received a package with a membership card in my name. The name on everything in the package was someone else's name.
What a scam. Please help me to get my money back!!!
