INCIDENT REPORT:
The company advertised a trial offer for HCG for $4.95 on an affiliated website http://www.purebiotixhcg.com? Affiliateid=2916&cid=1124. I signed up for the trial and was subsequently charged 2 payments of $89.95 within a 1 month period without authorization. My order was first placed on approximately July 7 and the subsequent charges were taken out on July 21 and then again on August 7. The website did not have its terms and conditions posted for consumers; they are placed AFTER the “submit” button for order confirmation. PureBiotix contacted me 5 minutes after I placed my order and I questioned a double $4.95 charge, the male representative told me that I was only being charged $4.95 and DID NOT disclose an automatic renewal. I was not aware of the additional charges until I received my bank statement today, August 8. It is evident PureBiotix is fraudulently rushing charges through customer accounts under the guise of an “Automatic Renewal Contract”. I contacted the company, today, and was placed on hold for 30 minutes on 3 different occasions. I have written a complaint letter to PureBiotix which is attached.
