I was a customer of Clear for about 30-days when I noticed the service I was receiving was not what I expected from an internet provider company. I was so displeased I decided to cancel the service. I received a mailing label to return the equipment to them and I did. Since July I started with a different internet provider and thought that I had paid my last bill for services for not do Clear internet service.
I am still being billed for services I am not using. Clear has been billing me since my cancellation in July. I made a complaint with the company and was told by a representative that I would receive a call from them in 24 hours. Well 24 hours evolved into 3 to 5 business days.
I learned that I am being billed for services with Clear On The Go, I did not know at the time I had this service. I learned that it works with both desk tops and lap tops. Well I don't use a lap top because I have a phone that can do everything a lap top can do. My desk tops are connected to to the internet via COX Internet service. So in reality Clear is claiming still that I am using the Clear on the Go internet service. And that I have the equipment.
I think that Clear has made a costly mistake in their assumptions that I am still a customer. I believe that if I did have this service why was it still active after I requested to close my account July. It was a fight to close the account I was offered other services and a telephone service that I declined. I was told that my VOIP phone would work with Clear... Yes it worked long enough to drop every incoming and out going call. The representative I spoke with at the time I closed the account informed me that I would have to pay for the equipment. And in the same breath I was told that I would have to pay to return it.
I have noticed on several complaint boards Clear is one of the worst internet Providers anyone could ever pay for. The service goes off line often every few nights between 11:00 pm and 1:00 am. When you call they will check your equipment and explane that service men are working on the lines in your area. And that you should be back on line soon. Honestly workmen are working on the lines in the area two to three times a week.
Call Clear to discuss an internet issue you will get an answer, call again with the same concern you will get a entirely different answer.
I have a verification ticket on the account to stop billing me. I received a bill just today asking for payment when my account is closed, closed, closed.
Well Clear all I can say at this point is "I will be refunded the money to took from my account without my knowledge or consent, do the math 8 months X $31.84= $254.72". Just write the check with interest and I will forget you stole from me.
Lastly I will recommend that people should be careful about using this company. I have read the complaints on the internet from far too many people being taken advantage of by the Clear Corporation. Now has anything in this document un-Clear?
