Hello. My name is James I am a 40 year old Resturant Professional I have well over 20 years experience in the feild ranging from fast food to fine dinning and Hostpitality and am also begining my studies in the Vet Med feild I recently applied for a position at my neighborhood Pizza Hut, the very same Pizza Hut that I spent every homecomming and Highschool football game after party at with all my friends at. My interview was quite nice and informal and was told the position was very small with very few hours. "PREFECT" I said because I wasen't looking for much just some extra pocket money for school over the next 4 years. I allso added that I was very flexable and was willing to work any shift, day's, night's or both. I also added I could work front of the house or back of the house and pitch in whenever and wherever needed. I was told "That's Great." when i spoke to them a week later I was told I was to over qualified for the job. That someone with my EXP I would not stay around to long. I can see where they would wonder why someone with my qualifications would want to work there but I thought I made my self quite clear in saying I wasen't looking for much. First of all I would like to say that if I was looking for a job serving in tie and tails commanding a six figure salary I would have applied for one to begin with. And in the second place how dare they make an asumption on my work values in saying I would not hang around I pried myself on my work ethics and have outstanding references to prove this I would have made a great asset to there team and it realy is there loss. This whole thing realy does not make me mad but ashamed of the way they conduct business. I guess what it all boils down to is that years of hard work does not mean anything to them!
