I am registered and buy with Ebay and Wavee is an online auction I found while searching online. I registered with them giving personal data and bank information.
As soon as I clicked on 'submit' a window showed that I had won an auctioned item after 20 bids and my account would be charged $75. I had bid on nothing nor searched yet for any online items for sale. My bank account was immediately charged the $75 fee. I have not recieved any email notifications of anything purchased from them.
I called the bank and they credited my account with the $75, but advised me that because it was a debit card they could not block or cancel the charge. They said I should wait to see if the charge appeared again on the account. It did today. I called the bank again and they said I would have to FAX them all the apropriate information and the case would be decided on according to bank procedures. That could take awile.
I have tried to get online with the wavee website but my email address is no longer on their files. I have no idea what is happening.
I am asking for a clear answer and understanding from them, but have no avenue to pursue and am writing you for your advice. I am a missionary located on the island of Haiti and not near to access of a FAX machine.
I would hate to think this has been a scam and would like the company to refund the money and clear up any misunderstandings.
Thank you very much for your assistance and prompt response.
