I have been with wackenhut for over 5 years and this is the worst company ever to work for. When i was hire i was told that corrections was part of law enforcement, now after all this time i have lost my job they didn't bother to grandfather me in, they have certain people that they look out for. Now they are placing us at other sites with low wages, and now i will be struggling to pay my bills. If i had known this a long time ago i would have stayed in corrections. These people have been getting away with a lot things and i think something should be done about it. They will tell you lies just to get you in and stab you you in the back later. If they're gonna replace us at least pay us close to what we were making instead of a 5 or 6 dollar cut.
Altria should dump this company because all they're doing is ripping them off and taking their money and pocketing it for themselves. Beginning jan. 1st they will drop the pay from 15.12 down to 14.00. And they are are hiring all these people and telling them one thing and doing something else. I hope half of them leave this company and bring wackenhut down. After all these years i walk away with nothing and have to start all over again. If you're thinking about joining this company you better run for your life and don't look back. Also please! Don't discusse nothing personal with the supervisors they will tell all your business to the officers.
