Always check consumer complaints before you make a move. I recieved a letter stating that I had won $100,000 in an online cyber sweepstakes. The letter said I had to call a number to meet "our requirements and statutory obligations". I was to call the licensed and accredited claims agent to activate the enclosed $3,950. Check and to get information regarding the tax payment involved. The person that answered the phone was very abrupt in answering my inquiries. He said that I was selected because I had been to one of Wal Mart, Home Depot or two others I can't recall. He threatened to cancel the check when I asked what to do if I had no bank account. I was told to find a relative who could deposit the check and to call back within 24 hours when I had done so. I hung up, Googled the company aka City Global and ended up at the Rip-Off site as I figured I would. These are hard times. Don't let anyone trick you not matter how desperate your situation may seem. Take the time to investigate, it's worth it!!!
