USPS Bronx NY
Lost/Stolen package

Post office attempted delivery and slip was left to pick up at post office. After 3 times of going to the post office they still could not locate my package that was sent via Amazon. Funny thing is a girl in front of me the first time was complaining of the same thing and held up the line for about 40 mins because they only had one person working the pick up window. Filed a case thru USPS phone # and nothing. Was told at post office to leave a copy of my attempted delivery slip and phone number and a supervisor would call and nothing. Third time I went back USPS told me that the manager was too busy to speak to me. Called USPS again at 800 number and they told me I have to deal with local post office or call consumer affairs. I told them I was given a case num and they said that's for the local office, then I explained well the local office doesn't help. Finally called local office and the lady told me to file a claim since they assume my package is stolen or lost. I went online to file a claim and it says my article number which is on the USPS slip is incorrect. Ughhhh. Contacted amazon.com and they are useless with their automatically generated email responses to your legitimate time consuming sent emails. I call Amazon and their rep tells me they will credit me and it will take two more weeks to get the credit. So after all this between amazon and USPS I have no package or item one month later all for a ten dollar purchase. Needless to say I can't use my laptop because the cord is what my purchase was after my friends dog chewed it. Customer service is no service. Now I am at square one minus $10 and a laptop cord.
