I went to the Menards store in Fort Dodge, Iowa to return some mechandise that I had purchased at another Menards store in a diffferent location, but I had misplaced the receipt during my travels. While standing at the customer service counter waiting for my "in store credit"which I had requested, I noticed the number of menards employees were increasing at the counter. Then I was approached by one of the employees, not the one working the counter, with my identification card in hand, and was accused of not purchasing the items, and i was not getting them back, or any type of refund! Mind you, this is over $100.00 of MY mechandise! They were "holding" my i.D. For "ransom"!!
As I was leaving, VERY upset and in a state of shock at whatb just happened, not to mention the embarassment they hsd just caused me in my local community, an employee approaches me in the parking lot with a paper in hand and proceeds to tell me that I am no longer allowed on the premises of any Menards store or I will be arrested for trespassing!
First they steal my merchandise that I paid for then they treat me like I am the crimminal here! JUST WHAT THE H& is going on with this company??!!
