False claims and a battle to recover any monies

This Company uses uses major search engines, and even ad words to draw attention to their site. They have a method of creating "false" traffic to give themselves a high listing. Once they have a customer "hooked" (sent money) they drag their feet and have little response to the customer. Ever contact about my project was initiated by me. They could not understand the scope of the project, which is their, supposed, expertise. Logo design. Once I realized they did not have a clue about logo design I argued for a refund. When they did agree to a refund they had a great way of not saying the date to expect a refund, or the amount. If I tired to pin them down as to the date and amount they would act offended.

The reason became appearant, they would say refund, but they meant refund minus some charges. I would continue until they would be specific as to the amount. As for the date of the refund the first time was 7/10 days, after 7/10 days, they would say 3 days, and the next time another three days. The last time they said 72 hours, which they changed the next day to four days. The forth day would fall on a Friday so they knew the banks would be closed for the weekend. The process would start again. I realized I was dealing with suspicious people.

1. One email had the "from" address on a known "spam" company.

2. They would claim to be from the New York area, but refused to give an address.

3. I recieve a call from one of their people I have upset, and I traced the number back top a different company located in Fla. They would answer the phone as Infinity Design, but claimed it must be a problem with the telephones. However they were Infinity Design.

4. They use a third party for processing credit cards, designpay.com, which is really Infinity.

5. Design Pay made several claims, as to when I would get the refund, but like Infinity bogus.

6. They used excuses like, their software was jammed, it took at least 3 days to process a refund (it takes one day). Like Infinity they would freeze when asked the amount of the refund. One person said the refund had been processed (lie). I asked the amount and the name of the bank it was coming from. He said he did not the answer to either. So I asked him you processed the refund but you don't know the amount of the bank? He became very upset. I did not care at that point.

7.By the way I tired to pay by using PayPal, but they refuse saying they didn't do business with PayPal. That should have been a warning flag.

It appears to me, with nothing but a hunch, they are into idenity thef, credit card fraud or something unrelated to business of designing logo. Their phone is in Fla, they will not give an address, they delay refunds, they offer up many lies.

This is what I did.

1. Contacted my bank right way. As soon as a refund shows up the card will be closed and I already have a new one. The bank is willing to purse them once 30 days passes (giving them full time to make the refund), and then my bank will contact their bank.

2. I "locked" my credit reports so no one can access the reports without me granting a temp access. My social security# and credit cards are being monitored on the Internet. I will recieve notice if any are used for any purpose.

3. I check my credit reports and bank on_line daily, as a back up.

4. I used their on_line chat to discuss the refunds and promises they made. Before they could delete them I would make a copy and place them in a file.

5. They sent me a eMail as if nothing had happened explaining their refund policy, and I replied with a copy of the on_line chats with their people. Today I got a refund. 16 days after I started this effort.

My bigger concern is idenity theft, and credit abuse. When I asked for the refund I did not have to give them my credit card number, because they had it on file. (not a good sign)

Anyway the best I can do is warn others, tighten my security, and go play golf.
