Vacation Hold Services with Invalid Charges

For three successive years, my wife and I did Medical Mission in the Philippine Islands. Before departure we call DirecTV to vacation-hold tv services while we were out of the country.in 2008 and 2009 our requests were accepted without any problem but this year I did the same request to hold services, giving the dates (Feb. 16 to April 3rd 2010). When we got back two bills were mailed to us while we were out of the country. I talked to five customer service employee and nothing was resolved. Their contention is that; they got my request to vacation-hold on January 27 but I did not call them back before leaving town, though I was not instructed to call them back. We are holding payment of the bill telling them that I am disputing this bill. I contend that these charges are unfair and I, a senior citizrn feel being taken advantaged by a big company.

Directv won't even look at my records as a long-tern customer with them for over a decade. Because of this dispute, I have discontinued their services and returned their Cable TV box.

I hope for your intervention and help to resolve this dispute. Bon Puno
