I am a Certified financial planner with an extremely reputable company and have been for many years. I was contacted by Nick Akel. And Phillip Akel, The so called president and vise president of the 401k meeting exchange. They offered to launch a marketing campaign on my behalf scheduling quality appointments with companies that sponsor 401k plans. I agreed and was charged an initial fee of $500.00 on my credit card. I have not received one appointment from this company since the time that they billed my credit card. I have been given the run around and have been shifted between Nick Akel, Phillip Akel and Desiree Akel. I have been promised the world but they have delivered absolutely nothing in months, Since I have requested my money back they will not accept my calls. And they do not return my emails. And in inquiring about this company I found that there are a number of other financial advisors throughout the county that have fallen victim to their scam. I also found that Nick Akel was fired from a reputable company in the same business because of misrepresentation and requesting advances of pay from the owner because he pawned his 15 year old son christophers gold chain to use crack cocaine. Nick and Phillip Akel have both had run ins with the law and were both formally licensed advisors. They both have battled a number of legal issues. One of which being invested by the SEC and FBI. Both Philip and Nick have lost their licensed to trade years ago. They are now praying on honest financial advisors through out the country. I highly recommend that no one does business with this organization or these people. They are liars, thieves, cheats and drug addicts. This company is currently being investigated by the Securities Exchange Commission, FBI and numerous state attorney's offices through out the country.
