Business Data USA contacts you by phone, stating that they want to update your FREE online listing. They will ask to verify your company information, then patch you over to somebody for "authentication" purposes. That is apparently when they turn the recorder on. At the end of the call they tell you that they will be sending you your invoice, payable in 30 days.
They then send you a bill for over $800.00 for these unwanted services. Furthermore, they have NO verifiable web address, they are NOT listed in any business directories, and you cannot find an address or phone number for them online.
They then call repeatedly trying to collect this bogus "advertising" invoice, threatening to send you to collections (which apparently they never do) and will not allow you to go above their heads to speak with a supervisor.
This doesn't even appear to be a legitimate company, yet they use threats and deceit and I would imagine make quite a bit of money doing so.
Do NOT buy it. Anybody who wants to update your "free business listing" is likely a crook. If they work for this company, they definitely are.
