I found an ad in my local newpaper selling german shepherd dogs. The contact was an email so i contacted them via email at [email protected]. I received a long response saying that they had 2 dogs available, one male and one female and that the adoption fee was $320.00.
The person responding was named Trudy Hall. She also stated that she was doing missionary work in Cameroon. She asked that we send the money via western union.
A couple of days after sending the money, i received a confirmation from what looked like an email from the airport saying that documents were missing and that he pup was being held until they received these documents. The email looked very legit. I fowarded the email to trudy and asked for her assistance in getting these documents. She contacted me and told me that the documents were going to cost $274 and that i would need to pay for this but that she will pay for the flight since the pup had already missed it. I again sent her the money.
The next day she emailed me and said that the airport was asking for insurance and that it would be refundable once i pick up the pup. The insurance cost $750. I also received another email from the airport. The email contain no phone number.
I looked up the airline phone number and proceed to contact the airline (airfrance) and was advised by them that they do not send emails to anyone. They advised me not to send the money unless i wanted to lose it. I emailed Trudy and advised her of what the company's advise. I am still pending a response from her.
