Ivy's Northern Hybrids
Martha Iveth Aservi Abusive, Deceptive Business Practices, Misrepresents Dogs, Ignorant of Breeding Practices, Fly-By-Night Operation

I'm writing this because I'm an animal lover. I had some dealings with Ms. Aservi that I want to make people aware of. Fortunately I spoke with a Vet before purchasing one of her "northern hybrids". My Vet reviewed her web site and strongly cautioned me against buying one of her so-called "hybrids".in the text to follow I will note some of the key issues he raised. I urge anyone to ask these questions to Ms. Aservi if you are thinking about buying from her. I should say up front that Ms. Aservi, in my opinion, plays fast and loose with the facts, so don't be afraid to ask her for proof to back up any of her statements. According to my Vet, no professional breeder would be the least bit offended.
Are the parents of the puppy registered (AKC, CKC, etc.)? Is the puppy I'm considering buying registered? The answer will be NO because she breeds whatever dogs she can pick up cheaply (or for free). Does the puppy have any wolf in its lineage? The answer may very well be YES, because Ms. Aservi indicates on her website (take a look) that this is the case. This is a crazy thing to do! As most dog professionals will tell you, Wolves are not happy and do not tend to do well in are aloof and withdrawn, and since they are predators by instinct, will often see cats, other small animals, and in some tragic cases even see small children as prey.
Why would any professional dog breeder go out of their way to breed these charastics into a pet? Ask Iveth this question. You might also ask her if she knows that since it's illegal to sell wolf-hybrids from her state to states that have anti-hybrid laws, which is currently more than half the states and climbing. I believe that Ms. Aservi is either ignorant of these facts or is out to make a quick buck regardless of what happens to her animals in the process.
I could go on, but most rational people will quickly figure out for themselves what she's up to. No papers with the dogs, no refunds under any circumstances, breeding undesirable wolf traights into home pets, etc. She's been "breeding" for less than two years and on a shoe-string budget. Anyone can obtain a few dogs, mate them in their home, create a fancy website, give the puppies a fancy name ("northern hybrids"), and refer to themselves as a breeder.
It's just a money-making SCAM - don't fall for it! Talk with your veterinarian or a professional breeder, do some research on the web, educate yourself. If you're in the market for a dog, you can do just as well shopping the classifieds on the internet, reading your local paper, or rescuing a puppy or young dog from a pound or shelter. For less than 200. You'll get a dog that is just as good, maybe better, than anything you'llo get from Ms. Aservi. If you must have a purebred, go to a professional breeder that's been in the business for years and has an unblemished reputation, get a dog with papers.
Ms. Aservi has a pretty good con going, but that's all it is. Beneath the fancy web site is nothing of substance. Ask her the questions, then ask yourself what are you really getting for your $900.???
