The problem started about 4 years ago when I began selling my handmade soap to Joy Clarkshire of Sheridan, Indiana. I sold the soap on a wholesale basis and she sold it at various craft shows. I have a specific design and wrapping style that I use. When I discovered that Joy was wholesale purchasing my soap and selling it as made by her, I was very upset and stopped selling to her. That was very deceptive to the customers, for her to state that she was handcrafting soap that I actually made.
She is now selling at a local monthly venue that I do not sell at basically due to startup time, one of the three partners didn't want me to sell, then he and his two partners changed their minds to let me sell but I was under treatment in an Indianapolis hospital for ulcerations. After one month of Nexium I felt well enough to sell again. However, the Hamco Marketplace already had 3 soapmakers.
