My awful magic jack experience

Robert L: Jackie that was my previous conversation with Magic Jack. As you can see I got no help what so ever.

Robert L: I haven’t even received my Magic Jack and already have this much trouble. This is not a good sign.

Robert L: I have been charged already. Your company has got my money. I am now forced to do a charge back.

Robert L: I've given my credit card information and my phone numbers and my address and still nothing from your side. This conversation is being posted on the net under reviews for all to ready minus my private information.
Abby: Please provide me the first four and the last four of your credit card please?
Robert L: I am not doing that If you can’t find my information with what I have provide to you all already than there is something wrong and I don’t want to be scammed any more.

Abby: Is it online or thorugh phone?
Robert L: Via the telephone
Robert L: so Abby I understand you are a supervisor. Is this correct?

Robert L: Well Abby I was charged. I would never sit here this many hours if I had not been. I am quite disappointed in Magic Jack. Nothing personal but this has been the worst experience I have ever had in my entire life with any company!

Robert L: I will now be contact my credit card company to issue a charge back.

Robert L: I was already charged on my credit card. I was notified vie the web of the charges by my bank.

Mandy: Please allow me to inform you that when you put your credit card information in to make this purchase, your credit card company may put a hold on these funds to ensure that the transaction will go through. Different banks and credit card companies have different ways. You will have a full 30-day free trial however, to try the magicJack. After the trial expires, the charge is going to be completed.

Robert L: What do I get besides a headache and high blood pressure for sitting here for "HOURS" dealing with this. I must go now I can’t sit here anymore. Magic Jack has failed to help me.

Robert L: so what are you trying to say Mandy? It still does nothing for me since you can’t find my order.

Mandy: Can I ask for the phone number used when you placed your order?
Robert L: I have not received anything from Magic Jack but a charge.

Mandy: Btw, have you already contacted your bank about the charges made in your account?
Robert L: yes I have
Robert L: I was told I can authorize a charge back.

Robert L: Mandy are you still there?
Mandy: Yes, I am checking your order.

Mandy: I double checked it in our system and it appears that the system is not yet updated since orders may take sometimes to appear in our database, however we suggest you to please try chatting us back after an hour or two to check for your order.By that time when the system is updated and your order appeared. We will be glad to assist you further with this matter.

Robert L: how about this you can contact me via email within 24 hours and inform me of my order status. If I dont hear back from anyone by then I will then place a charge back. I dont have the time to sit here for another 2 and half hours dealing with the run around. Do you think you can do that for me as a new customer Mandy?

Mandy: I have recorded our chat making it very easy for the next tech to understand your concern if you may comeback again.

Robert L: I will be posting this on the web for all potential customers of Magic Jacks to read minus all the private data. I can’t handle another 2hours and 40 minutes of nothing but “can you please hold while I transfer you”
Robert L: okay I hope what you say is true. I will try one last time tomorrow after that I am forced to do what needs to be done. I am sure you can understand my position.
Mandy: Yes, I honestly understand your side, Robert.
Robert L: Thank you for your time at least one of us was paid for the hours spent dealing with this.

Robert L: if you add up the hours spent online dealing with this and multiply it by what I get paid an hour. Magic jack has cost me a lot more than what I could have saved using this device.

Robert L: okay this is the last attempt to ask for help. Irvin are you there? Irvin are you going to help me? If you do not reply, I must assume that you are not going to help me. I will now be posting all of my conversations on the web for all potential Magic Jack Customers to read. Minus all of my personal information. I am also issuing a charge back on my credit card. This is the end of the conversation February 3rd 9:48am PST.
In the end i never received a magic jack device. I am now in the process of filling a charge back. I do not recommend this company. They have the worst customer service i’ve ever experienced in my life. I have never written a review on anything but my experience here had to be shared.
