One day I was looking at my checking account balance online, and I noticed that I had a $9.95 charge that was not something that I had authorized. The line item showed up as "POS Purchase 02/03 07:58 COMM-SERVICES LLC 401-429-2943 NJ 001108 COMM-SERVIC 59". POS is a point of sale purchase, which means it was a purchase made with my debit card. I have never authorized this charge.
I called the phone number listed, but I get a 24/7 message service that says "We are currently assisting other customers, please hold". I waited for 20 minuted one time, but got frustrated and hung up.
This company is clearly a fraud. They probably know someone or are paying someone to give them credit/debit card numbers, and are using their business (internet DVD sales) as a front (from what other people have written, it looks like they are actually sending some people DVDs — although they are very poor quality). Most people won't notice a $9.95 charge, and most banks/credit card companies will just refund the money without investigating the matter, because $9.95 is not worth it to them.
