Be careful. The contract reads differently than the salesman will tell you. It costs $4800 /- for these 'HR professionals' to teach you nothing. Their resume writing experience is poor (professional contacts reviewed mine and called it junk). They do not promise to find you a job, however they do tell you they aid in your search (give you a list of websites you probably already have), allow you access to their website which they claim outside employers list jobs on but there are few and those jobs are available on other common job search engines. They stongly imply they will find you something and they imply they have connections. It's a fine line. I had no interviews or offers in 6 months.
There advice is antiquated, Doug Wurzler will tell you how to upload your resume and follow it with a paper one. He'll make you buy a tape recorder so he can record for you his important advice and scenarios. Supposidly if you send a paper one too and label it second submission, the HR department will get all excited and you have a better chance of a hiring manager seeing it because HR doesnt want to get caught slacking. These tapes are 'You Tube' material. He will tell you to network. He tells you to attend trade shows, tell your friends/family you are looking all of the common sense things that you probably have done already. AMC markets people like any other company markets it's products.

We agree to things that sound like a way out of a scary black hole under duress. I would say that this for me was one of those times. These people prey on distressed, desperate, unemployed people who are at wits end. I know there are good career counelors out there, but this is NOT one of them.
Oh and they take credit cards - imagine that. They know you can't pay the CC company cause you are not working. Write a car loan for unemployed and scam the lending bank - not acceptable. Write a mortgage for the unemployed and scam the lending bank, not acceptable. A CC is a loan more or less and they know you cant pay your creditor, you don't have a job! Unethical all the way around!!
