It appears that Universal Lists is built upon dishonest scam artist methods and does have a history of ripping people off.in addition, based on "NO" response from its parent company Gold Coast Partners, they must encourage Unfair Sales Practices and taking advantage of consumers. What they do is downright inexcusable.
There also seems to be other companies that work under the umbrella of Gold Coast Partners. They are Martin Worldwide, List Giant, Universal Lists, and Guaranteed Lists. Based on my research, I believe Guaranteed Lists doesnt exist anymore because it has received so many complaints by unhappy consumers.
Universal Lists and Gold Coast Partners seem to promote Unfair Sales Practices and Misleading Sales Pitches. I firmly believe that this company trains and educates their staff on how to take advantage of consumers and it needs to stop.
The following were promises made:
Based on the company's experience, the rep said that I could expect approximately 400 responses and 100 sales if paid for a 40,000 email deployment.
& Folks, I didn't even receive one lead! None Zero Zilch!
The sales representative told me that I could get a refund if I wasnt happy. I even included it in email correspondences between me and the sales rep.
& They refused to honor it!
I was promised that I could get 24-hour online access to check my deployment. That way I would be able to see how many emails were deployed, the number of emails opened and how many click on the links... Etc.
& They refused to provide me access. What is even more surprising is that they refused to show it to me even after I told them they could keep my money if it showed my deployement went out. It's obvious that they just took my money and never sent out what I paid for.
My first scheduled deployment didnt go out because the representative was in Las Vegas and the National Sales Director, Carl Ball had no clue what was going on. No one did!
& It didnt seem to matter that I planned my work week accordingly.
I gave them another chance and rescheduled another deployment
& Surprisingly, that deployment didnt go out as scheduled
& I was told that my email creative didnt work properly, even though I was told days earlier that it looked good and the links worked fine.
& A couple of days later I was told that it finally was broadcasted but not one hit.
& Again, I scheduled my time accordingly more time wasted.
They said that they would, and get this, do me a favor and rebroadcast the 40,000 emails.
& I called late in the afternoon on the day of the scheduled broadcast because I again didnt get any hits on my site. I was told that my deployment had even been approved yet.
& Again, my time was scheduled accordingly and again nothing happened.
At that point, almost 4 weeks after the initial deployment was supposed to go out I asked for a refund. Their response was that they would not refund my money because they did what they promised. They however, out of the kindness of their heart offered to do another rebroadcast and throw in some leads that I could cold call.
Needless to say, consumer beware of dealing with Universal Lists.
