This parking outfit connives with ralph's grocery using 'randomly' defective parking gate meters to suck $ from grocery shoppers

This Ampco parking outfit services the basement parking lot for Ralph's customers. They grant a complimentary 90-minute parking with validation. Validation is done by just taking the parking ticket to Ralph's and have it stamped by a little blue machine on the counter WITHOUT having to make a purchase at Ralph's. However, their parking lot gate has a meter which becomes 'defective' once in a while, so me in my car gets stuck at the gate when the meter charges me $50.00 for 62 minutes that I've parked there. So as not to create a traffic jam, I decided to pay it, get the car out and come back in to see the parking attendant to complain and get my $50.00 back. Lo and behold, the Ampco parking manager now demands to see a Ralph's receipt, insisting that the parking is for 'customers', meaning that I should have bought something when I parked in the lot. Despite my being a Ralph's rewards member, I still had to show a receipt within that time frame that I had parked my car in their lot. I complained to the Ralph's manager in front of the Ampco parking manager to no avail. Watch out!
