DHL Global Forwarding Seems Unethical in Hiring Practices

I was recently fired from DHL Global Forwarding (DHLGF) in West Columbia, SC after three weeks of training. I had heard other employees commenting that DHLGF would fire people with very little reason. When I was fired, I was told that I wasn't learning fast enough and did not show enough "dedication" to the job. This was an "A-1" Entry Processor job, the lowest level at this facility. Their employment advertisement in The State Newspaper (Columbia, SC) indicated that no experience was needed and on-the-job training would be provided. Now I find that DHLGF hires a large number of people, observes them during training to select a few that show superior qualities, than fires the rest. At least, this appears to be true based both on rumors and my personal experience. One employee told me that a supervisor expressed that DHLGF management feels there are very few people in South Carolina that are educated, or even smart enough, to learn the jobs, so they are using this tactic to find the people they want. This is both a heartache and financial detriment to be taken aboard with DHLGF and fired soon afterward. It also looks bad on a person's job history. I think DHLGF should perform a more thorough screening and interviewing process, and just hire people they feel have the potential and background they desire.
