Cameron Lott Told me he was going to shred or send me back a check I wrote as earnest money on a loan.instead changed the date on the check and cashed it two months later and overdrew my account

Who says iFreedom is legit? These days and times these companies will do anything for a buck, but if you choose this company look over your Settlement Statement carefully! Please!

It started with this guy named Cameron Lott, whom doesn't work for this company anymore, but is a great lair. He told me to write out my first check for $159.00 for the remaining of my taxes that he said my other mortgage company did not pay (they paid! He just didn't want me to collect the check from taxes for over payment, that I was entitled to cause I'm the one paying the loan back). Then he wanted me to write him a check for $913.00 (for earnest money that he had to have at closing) that he promised me he would not cash. I even told this guy if he were to cash it my account would be in the negative. He said "Gloria! Gloria! Trust me I will not cash this check", but to my surprise Dec. 21 this check was posted to my account with the date (the number 10) in 10/13 marked out to 12/13 and initialed in my married initials last name. The last name on my account starts with "D" not "W" as that's my married named. The bank would not help me they said it was not up to them that I should contact the police for fraud.in doing so, they would not talk to the police this accountant named Kay as they called her, she wanted me to fax her to allow her to talk to the police and I was sitting right their (as I remember with Cameron I didn't have to do that for the insurance company it was done over the pnone).

It's like they max out your house value as mine was worth $105,000, but I didn't owe but $101,000 on it. Then I had a $2,340 credit from them (they claimed, but got it back in all their fees) and a credit refund of $524.32 on my settlement that's marked OTMIP. I tried to talk to my settlement lawyer, but I think they were contacted as well cause the first time I called her she didn't know anything about a check and then when I called her back she knew everything. So don't think the lawyers are on your side cause they work for the financing institute as well.

Now, if you are going through this process I want you to look on your Settlement Statement at line 204 thru lines 206 or lines 213 on Loan info page, if you've got a number in line 204 (that say prepaid advanced by lender) that's what they have told you your earnest money is and that's what your title company going to send you a check for later down the road. Don't be fooled! But the lawyer told me "those are credit that they've given you!" I beg the differ! They take those credits and use them up as well for processing fee that they claim came out of their pocket: if you look at page two of the Settlement Statement you'll see little typing that says (POC: L20.00) that means they charged you $20.00 dollars for something that was suppose to be free to you. Now mind you; I was Never! Never! To come out of my pocket for anything cause I told Cameron I could not afford it. This whole entire process was suppose to be a non-out-of-pocket experience, but was not.

So in a nutshell, they made $150from appraisal/property value, $4,515 off my equity, $524.32 from refund, and two checks $159.00 and $913.49 from me which all equals $6,111.81, but plus taxes $7,000 and something dollars and they told me they only made $16.00 off me. My Ass!

I am now in a hole and don't know how I'm going to pay my mortgage; for it is the 12/26, (yes a day after X-Mas), when I thought I had it all together. Now my company is going on 36-hrs next mo. Regardless, of any iFreedom replies I get from this post, I will reply because their a sneaky company that uses a so call "Bite Before they Flight" technique. Which mean they'll do anything for the business even lie to you when they feel they can't get your business. Yes, I know from other post they have smart mouths and from dealing with them on the phone, but I'm ready and I'm bringing a friend with me!!! I also will be posting documents when the time is right!!
