The Farm Supply company called me to inform me that I had won a stereo system that they would be shipping out to me as soon as I verified my address. I told them that I was not interested. They then proceeded to tell me that I had an open contract with them for Duracoat, a product that I had ordered 5 years ago.
Their claim is that I still need to order 3 gal. At a cost of $399.99. I explained that I wanted to see paper work for this and they said it would be sent with the order. They were vey fast talkers, but got very agitated when I said I wanted to speak with the supervisor. I was told the supervisor (John Kelley) would not be in until Monday.
They said they had the last 4 numbers of my credit card and all I had to do was provide the rest. I told them I would not do that, and they said it would be turned over to a collection agency immediatly. I told them I would speak to the supervisor on Monday first.
I called and spoke with a customer service rep. Who told me she would take care of everything. They called two more times threatening to turn it into the state billing dept, but I continued to say I would not pay without paperwork proving that I owed them anything.
They quit calling for about six weeks, but have again started calling.
I am posting this report and also contacting my states Attorney General, and I encourage anyone else being harrased by The Farm Supply or TFS to do the same.
