An associate from this firm called and informed me that I needed to pay a bill within a few days to prevent further legal action that could lead to arrest and imprisonment.
I advised him that I would return his call when it was convenient for me to discuss this matter and glean additional information from him.
Upon my arrival at home, I realized that the bill he was attempting to collect was a bill that had been paid in 08/09 and this could be easily resovlved when I forwarded the receipt.
When I contacted the referenced firm, the associate refused to provide me with an email address so I could forward the affirmation of the bill having been paid and became aggressive and disrespectful.
I ended the phone call and proceeded to contact my attorney to be a mediator because this firm has obviously obtained erroneous information and is attempting to collect on bills that have been paid.
This is additional confirmation of unethical, unscrupulous practices by some law firms.
