Brimley Financial Group
Scam Artists!

My wife and I haven't had it all that great. Right after the birth of our son, my wife's company that she worked for closed down. A month later, and 4 days before Christmas, I got laid off.in turn, we had to move in with her parents. I was the only one getting unemployment benefits at the time, needless to say, we fell behind on A LOT of bills and my credit was screwed up.

My wife and I thought it would be a great idea to go ahead and apply for a loan so we could pay off the things on my credit so we could move out of her parents house and get our own again, and just have 1 bill a month, so she started applying online. A few days later (July 22), we got a call from David Quinn at Brimley Financial Group saying we were approved for a $7,000 loan. Since my credit was less than perfect, we would have to put down the first 5 payments of $215 (totalling $1,075) and then we would get the $7,000. We scrounged around, using 3 different cash advance places, borrowing money from her parents, and clearing out our savings and checking accounts. We came up with the money on July 24, so I called David, and he gave me an address to send the money gram to, in Ontario. We thought it was suspicious at first, then just kinda brushed it off. We called David back with the reference number and he told us that the money would be in our account the next day, July 25. We waited and waited, and called and called. Finally, I called David and he sent me to customer service, where I spoke with the "manager" Marcus. He told me that the bank wanted another $1,075 to secure the loan.

We got really suspicious then and immediately asked for a refund. They told us they would send out a certified check on August 7 (their billing cycle) and we would receive it by Aug. 8. I called them on August 5 to confirm that they were going to send out our money, I was reassured that it was getting sent out. Again, a lot of waiting and a lot of calling. No one would answer our calls, and still haven't. Now, we contacted the Ohio Attorney General's office and the Better Business Bureau and they are working on our case. I hope no one else will do "business" with them, and I just pray they get caught, go to jail, and everyone will get their money back. Sorry to everyone who has already lost money because of them, we know EXACTLY how you feel!
