I am 87 years old and getting very tired of my mail box being filled by unwanted solicitations from American Sweepstakes Publisher. It appears they are targeting the elderly with attempts to take advantage of us. I currently receive almost one piece of junk mail each day from this company. Sometimes I receive 2 or 3 pieces of mail from them in a single day. They send it in my name from my current marriage, and another in the last name from my deceased first husband. How can I make it stop? I currently receive 30 to 40 pieces of mail per day from a number of these sweepstake award programs as well as many charaties that use the similar sweepstakes "scams" that appear to target the elderly.
I have written "return to sender" on a number of them and have written them letters but so far it still hasn't stopped. Do we have any rights to prevent invasion of my privacy via the US Postal Service.
