Renee, April French Difficult to receive Refund - Bad Checks

I purchased Indian Remy hair from a website at www.luxurylocs.net in April. The company is called Luxury Locs. I ordered over the phone and specifically asked for Indian Straight-African American Texture hair. I wanted 12 ounces/3 packs of the hair and I wanted the hair to be colored jet black (#1). I was charged accordingly and received my order.

When I received my order I was very unhappy, as I was sent the wrong type of hair and the color was wrong. The hair was very curly, instead of being straight and it was brown instead of jet black, which I requested over the phone from the sales representative named Renee. I also only received 8 ounces of hair/2 packs instead of 12 ounces/3 packs. I called Luxury Locs and expressed my disappointment.

They apologized and asked me to mail the hair back and said that I would receive a refund. I also placed the order again to receive the hair I initially requested (I did receive this order and it was the correct order). I expressed mail the hair that was sent to me back to Luxury Locs to Renee. After a few days, I called and she acknowledged that she received the hair. Because I paid for the hair via PayPal, that was the way I would receive my refund. After numerous attempts from Luxury Locs to give me my refund (about 2 weeks), it continued to fail and I continued to receive messages stating to contact April French, as there was an issue with their account.

I was very frustrated waiting for my refund via PayPal and Renee continued to tell me that I would receive it. Eventually she said that they were having account issues and that they would mail me a check. I finally received the check from Luxury Locs and the check was dated May 15. Might I add I was a little skeptical because the check from Luxury Locs was a personal check from April French. I called and spoke with Renee and she said she was not sure why April French issued me a personal check and then said maybe it was because they were having account issues, as they just changed their account. So after speaking with Renee of Luxury Locs, I deposited the check into my account.

I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM MY BANK ON JUNE 24 STATING THAT MY CHECKING ACCOUNT WAS CHARGED THE AMOUNT OF THE CHECK BECAUSE OF NO FUNDS IN THE ACCOUNT OF APRIL FRENCH. I spoke with a man named Keith from Luxury Locs on June 25 and told him what happened. He said that he would speak with Renee and that someone would give me a call back concerning this returned check. Needless to say, I never received a call back. Thus, I called them back on June 29 and spoke with Renee and she gave me April French's number and asked me to call her.

I called April French on that day, June 29 and left a message with her. She has never returned my call to this day (July 2). After I left a message with April French, Renee called me back about an hour later. She said that she felt bad and that she would be able to help me by sending me a cashiers check in the amount of my refund. She gave me a tracking number of EH987908785US and said that it would be expressed mailed to me. She asked me to call her back if I wanted to track the check.

When I try to track the check online at www.usps.com, they have no record of my tracking number. Sounds to me the cashiers check was never placed in the mail by Luxury Locs. I have called Luxury Locs everyday since July 29 and NO ONE PICKS UP THE PHONE. I HAVE ALSO LEFT NUMEROUS MESSAGES WITH THEM AND ALSO WITH APRIL FRENCH AND NO ONE HAS CALLED ME BACK.

They claim their hours of operation are: 10am - 5pm, Monday - Thursday and 10am-4pm on Fridays; Saturday-Sunday - Internet Orders only-BUT THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE WHEN YOU HAVE A PROBLEM.

I have reported this company to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and also will involve my attorney soon in trying to get my refund. Also, Luxury Locs has NO BBB Accreditation. It's amazing-when I was trying to place an order, they always picked up the phone and/or returned my calls in a prompt manner. Now that I have this refund issue, I can't get in touch with anyone. If they were really a business of integrity, I wouldn't be going through this right now and they would at least try to work with me and get me my refund. They are not trying to help me at all.

The personal check I received from Luxury Locs was in the name April French. Their address is 2090 Traditions Way Jefferson, GA 30549. I received check # 103 from HSBC. The routing number on the check is: and the account number is.

I will continue to fight for my refund and if you receive a personal check from Luxury Locs-BEWARE! I would recommend-DON'T BUY FROM THEM. There are so many other sites that sell Indian Remy hair at decent prices. Please don't order from Luxury Locs and save yourself a headache.
