The charges made here were completely false. The reports posted were all posted by the same person using different email addresses. But, they were all posted from the same IP address..!! I am posting this in an effort to help those stay at home moms, dads or any other person wishing to enter into a legitimate honest, ETHICAL business.

I have discovered that American Business Systems, also known as American Business System is nothing but a scam. The only one that will truly make money here is Patrick Phillips and his little family that runs the show!

(and they don't run it well either. Most of the ones I interviews did not even have a CLUE about the medical billing industry and the software technology out there)

Here is what I believe ABS Patrick Phillips is nothing but a professional high level marketing expert that has found a way to suck innocent people into investing in his pathetic medical billing business.

He has a very alluring manipulative website. At first glance, I was impressed until certain issues started popping right out at me. And as they say, the old to good to be true started tumbling around in my brain!

The excitement slowly turns to disgust when I began doing my DUE DILIGENCE!

What led me to do so, I personal friend of mine invested in his scam and is out over $20,000.00. I actually thought of going into business with him. This thought quickly disappeared after I discovered the outrageous HIDDEN fees that Patrick Phillips and His ABS business makes in addition to your initial investment.

Medrium / Software FEES w

ABS Licensess will pay MEDRIUM / ABS the following fees: ABS call their fees a rebate. I would rather call it a kickback:

$100.00 per month (this is going up in the near future) maybe as much as $200.00

To process 300 claims per month.

Then you are charged $1.25 per claim (301 to 500)

Then you are charged $1.00 per claim (501 on up) PER MONTH

OTHER COMPANIES CHARGE BETWEEN 35.00 (Invoice from a doctor) to 90.00 per month Go McKesson Relay Health Clearinghouse. Embion (formerly WebMD) AdvancedMD Lytec 2009 etc. And research the difference, then come back and tell me if I am telling you the truth!

If you use their financial calculator and decide how much you want to make by using the above per claim fee you will discover that you will be paying them in excess of $1000.00 per month and perhaps up to $2000.00 per month to use their virtually obsolete antiquated software system.

Do yourself a favor my friends, go to school and get your education, trust me. Short cuts like this one keeps you chained to PATRICK PHILLIP AND ABS fore ever.

HE will not only have control over the software and the components YOU WILL BE ALLOWED TO USE. He also has total control over what he can charge you. I calculated he currently HAS CONTROL OF 20% OF YOUR SALARY.

Once you sign a doctor on his system that's when he's gotcha! And the idea of switch a medical practice from one system to another is not an easy task to do once they have taken the time and energy to learn the pathetic system ABS incourages you to use. He know that!!! And if you are a smart person you should know this as well.

I can go into that further but that's another story. For now let me stick to the facts of this business scam.

AMERICAN BILLING SYSTEMS will sell you $20,000.00 business opportunity that doesn't have full and unlimited rights with the software company they use.

That software vendor is medrium.

They will tell you they have NO HIDDEN FEE

You will be paying outrageous fees to use the medrium software they have parterned with. Why? Abs needs more money!

You will pay not the clearinghouse but medrium/abs monthly fees in addition to your investment

In fact the more you make the more you will pay him!!!

He like to go after the STAY AT HOME types, because for the most part (no offense to anyone out there) he hopes you are not knowledgedable about BUSINESS OWNERSHIP AND HOW TO START-UP A BUSINESS, contract negotiation etc.

Trust me its very easy, go to the library or the internet. Read read read. ABS will tell you this after you pay them the $20,000.00 trust me I KNOW THIS FOR A FACT! I have their DVD of their classroom session!

Patrick and Marylyn (the licensee turned instructor or should I say marketer... instructor she is NOT) WILL MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN THE WORLD TO THEM.

Why not Marylyn gets a reduction of overall fees for helping him out in his well thought out high level marketing scam.

Your cost in fees will cost you on average of over $2000.00 a month that' OVER 25,000.00 A YEAR IN FEES ALONE IF YOU PLAN TO MAKE ENOUGHT TO PAY YOUR MORTAGE!!! AND EAT

By the time you finish paying THE FEES, your business expense and your cost of living expense your overall profit is next to nothing!

You may be force to ask patrick for a loan!!! So you can live!!!

You will work like a dog and have to process over 3000 claims per month.

When you get to that amount YOU WILL NEED TO PAY STAFF TO HELP because its virtually impossible to process that many claims alone. You will need to add this to the expense.

At the end of the month you might even have to ask Patrick for a loan

He will tell you to go get another account while he is laughing all the way to the BANK

Abs has a negotiated contract with medrium and gets a (percentage) kickback on every claim you process. It is in their best interest to keep the fees high.

They have misrepresented the facts about the processing of claims.

Your claims are batch upload and not processed in real time

It will take 24-48 hours turn around time before abs licensee only claims are processed through medrium and relayhealth clearinghouse services.

IF you work for MEDRIUM DIRECT AND BECOME ONE OF THEIR BILLING CLERKS then the claims goes into the clearing house direct. (direct quote from Medrium)

ABS have misrepresented the facts about the webbase technology they use

ABS will make you believe is that they have the only web-base software out there with real time technology

Abs/medrium is not the only web-based service out

They should be saying they are one of the oldest and most antiquated web-based software!!! That would have sounded more like the truth!

Abs licensees do not have access to the real-time functionality of the medrium system.

Medrium medical billing staff (your competition) are the only ones with the real-time access to the clearing house

ABS LICENSEE claims ARE NOT processed in the same manner as the medrium claims.

ABS CLAIMS ARE BATCH UP LOADED for legal reasons

ABS patrick phillips only bought the rights to use VERY LIMITED ASPECTS OF THE MEDRIUM system.

ABS only has access to the data entry options.

ABS DOES not have a direct relationship with the clearinghouse.

And medrium is not a clearinghouse

Medrium is contracted with the Mckesson relay health clearinghouse.

Mckesson relay health is the clearing house!!!

In order for any of the ABS licensee claims to be process they have to use an upload batch method

ABS claims take 24-48 hrs for processing time.

They have misreprented the facts about the extensive training and marketing material

Marketing material is dated and useless for the most part and includes fraudulent language.

Go to their website and read what they claim. Its all there!!! They claim guaranteed PAYMENTs to the doctors IN 7-21 DAY (research will tell you that the above numbers are an approximation of dealing with a few of the insurance providers only) MOST HOLD THE CLAIM FOR 30 DAYS!!!

Real-time (instant) processing of claims directly to clearinghouse

This is totally false and a total misrepresentation of fact!

The marketing material only compares their system to paper claims. (this should tell you they are still living in the dark ages)

Just about every doctor is set up for electronic claims or outsourcing. ABS marketing material was useful OVER 10 YEARS ago.

It is useless today.

In todays market the competition will defeat any abs licensee using medrium software because it is so antiquated and useless!

Most competitors can go in after any abs licensees and just blow your system and marketing crap right out into the universe.

They give you far less then this state of the art software they claim to have and will charge abs licensees more than any other software vendor i have researched out there.

They will teach you nothing about the business!!! YOU WILL HAVE TO EVENTUALLY learn ON YOUR OWN SO WHY PAY THEM $20,000.00!!!

They will tell you to read the help files of the software.

If you have to read then why not just take a course and LEARN yourself? Invest the $20,000.00 in YOUR education!

Get the material on medical billing and coding on line and learn and teach yourself. Then affiliate yourself with a reputable/reliable/CURRENT state of the art software vendor!!!

I have found some that will charge you $90.00 per month unlimited claims fees. Not $20,000.00!!!

they have misreprented the facts (lied) about medical coding. Did they tell you yet that you don't need to know coding? Well most software out there have automated procedure and diagnostic codes already intergreated into their software. BTW this is not NEW TECHNOLOGY!!!

Just evaluate other software demos you will see that yourselfYou will eventually need help with CODING. HERE IS WHAT SUPPORT WILL TELL YOU: OUTSOURCE IT!!! HUMMMMM.

The moral to the story if you have $20,000.00 then go get the proper education. This quick fix franchise is not only makes ABS/PATRICK IN CHARGE OF YOUR DESTINY. He and his little family not only control its they have the power to increase fees and lock you out of the system at any time!!!

so forget paying them. Do the right thing if you have $20,000.00 then go to a school that will give you a professional license that is not filled with HIDDEN FEES when you walk out of there. Go to the library, read a book on the subject or get take a course online. Then you will have enough money left over to buy into the many superior web-based medical billing software vendors for less than $2000.00 a year!!! FIXED

I do feel sorry for all the people that invested in your web of liesthey should seriously do a class action law suit against you.
