Boca Java Company Breaches Customer Account Security - Do Not Give Credit Card Numbers To Them

A week ago I placed an order with Boca Java for an introductory offer to join their coffee club. I received a confirmation email confirming my successful registration and order and it said that my first order of coffee would ship in about 5 days. Today I decided to check on that order and I went to the website to log in. I entered the email address I had registered and the password I had created, which I had written down so I would remember it. It said there was no such member.

I called the customer service number listed on the site and was told that all their systems were down and could I please call back another time. I went back to the log-on page on the internet and clicked on "forgot your password"? I received an email with a reset password, went back to the site and proceeded to log-in, this time successfully.

Only to my complete horror, there was a completely different name on my account. I continued clicking on different information pages and I found my name on the billing information, my address and my credit card number, yet on my account profile there was a different person's name, address and phone number. I'm in New Jersey, the other person was in Wisconsin.

I called the customer service number again and requested to speak with a manager. It took 3 calls to do so and each time I asked they pretended like they didn't hear my question and continued to ask "is there anything else I can help you with?" When I became adamant, I actually had one woman who pretended she could no longer hear me on the connection and was going to disconnect the call until I said, "Look you either get me a manager now or I'm calling the police" and all of a sudden she heard me.

Each time I explained what I was seeing on my account information, they acted like I shouldn't be concerned about it and I was told "it didn't matter as long as my billing information was correct. UNBELIEVABLE! No, it doesn't matter that somebody else may have access to my information just as I have access to theirs.

When I finally got transferred to a "manager" (his name was Tony) the matter got ever worse. Same story. Who cares what the information on your profile is, it's your email address on your account right? He didn't get it either. I told him to cancel everything. Well the account was canceled on the site, but I have no way of knowing what they did with my credit card information and who now has it, nor was Tony concerned about it, in fact, he was a rude arrogant a*.

I highly suggest and recommend NOT registering with this company and NOT providing them with any personal information or credit card information as it appears that their "secure server" is not so secure.

I am appalled by this and will continue to report and file complaints until I find legal recourse. I've called the police in Deerfield Beach Florida and they would do nothing. They told me to call the FTC. The FTC does nothing for consumers. I'm filing a report here hoping some legal resource will contact me and guide me further. Otherwise, I'll just keep looking for action. I don't think people should get away with things like this. At one point, this manager, Tony, actually suggested that I possibly typed in the other person's information by mistake. Now if that isn't an admission of stupidity, guilt and passing the buck, I don't know what is.

I believe this company is practicing fraudulently and needs to be put to a stop. Thanks.
