Terrible service. I chose them after doing a lot of research on product pricing because they had a combination of a best price with a 5-month no-interest payment plan. The only other place that had a better price for this product was prestigecamera.com, but they did not offer any interest-free payment plans. I followed their link to get approved for the 5-month no-interest plan. This was a hustle in itself, because even though I needed approval for $2200 for the TV, the automated process only gave me $1500. I had to call GECAF and after an hour of hard time getting through to anyone, they told me their system only allows them to raise it by $200. I spent few more hours getting through to fotoconnection reps to figure out how to make the payment and they told me to write it all in their online form and provide another CC to cover remainder of the balance. Getting through to them literally takes hours. And their phone system is so screwed up at one point I was switched to an extension that played back a message that was left by another customer, and it then asked me if I want to replay it or delete it... Nice, huh? Next day I called in to check on the order (again an hour of time wasted) and nothing was done. The sales guy was trying to push on me wall attachment, HDMI cables (stuff I don't need or already have) and some insurance of $100 to cover shipping. I categorically declined and he wasn't happy. I asked him if I could pick up the TV set since I'm only about 1/2 hour away from them and he said that they don't allow that. It has to be shipped by them. Next day I got an email from their accounting who seemed all confused. I called them (which takes 1/2 on hold) just to find out they need more info on the new account from me, despite the fact that I followed their link and did all that the website required. This has been going back and forth for the whole day. After that was settled and I was assured all was now in order and would be shipped, 2 days later another girl called me from their accounting to verify some details. Next day I got an email that they are finally forwarding it to the shipper and I should be getting it soon. A week later and nothing. I called the shipper and was told they will be getting it to me in few days. I called fotoconnection to complain and they said that they can request the shipper to return the set so I could pick it up myself that day, but when I asked about the $150 for the shipping they said it wouldn't be reimbursed because they already sent it to the shipper. They said if I choose to wait they will try to expedite it. True enough, an hour later I got a call from the shipper who said they can deliver it tomorrow between 7am and 11am. I had no other choices to pick from. My wife had to stay late just to wait for them because I had to be in work at 9am that day. The truck showed up around 10am and it was pouring rain. The driver said he can help my wife (who is petite and fragile) carry the TV set (about 100lbs) into the house if she pays him $20. He said she can afford it if we spent $2000 on the TV. Otherwise he would leave it outside on the curb (it was pouring rain, remember). She pleaded with him and finally paid him $10 to help her carry it into the house.
So, even though I could've picked up the TV set myself within few days after I paid, since I live so close by, I had to wait for nearly 2 weeks and had to pay them $160 for it when it would've cost me maybe $20 round trip with tolls.
