Jetblue Airways Corporation
Jetblue / Security

On Oct 22nd was my 8yr olds birthday, traveling to Orlando on this day, I check in on-line the night before. Upon arrival, I advised the check-in person at baggage drop off that I did not get a boarding pass for the infant. I was told by the agent its not needed. I asked her again, are you sure? No, its not needed. From my past experiences I know you need to account for ALL passengers on the aircraft...
Proceed to the security checkpoint, passed the first officer, then the 2nd officer advised me (after ALL my things have been scanned), I need to go back out and get a boarding pass for the infant. So, my sister-in law goes out to get the boarding pass, I have to go out to the security again to take my bracelet and watch off. When I get to the other side to retreive everything, I cannot find my jewelry. I tell the security and she advised me file a compliant. While waiting which they say would take 5 minutes, takes me into missing my flight, because no one has the password to obtain the videos for the security checkpoint until about 40 minutes later that I told them. Well, all the Port Authority and Jetblue security are looking at this video and not telling me anything, but looking at me several times, (like I put it in my bag). I hear a security telling another employee that he asked "woman" if the jewelry was hers, and she said yes, then puts it in her pocket book... They then tell me about 1 1/2 hours later they found the person on the video who pocketed it and would go look for her. Did you serioulsy think you would find her after all that time you wasted trying to find the password??? They tell me afterwards, they can't find her in such a huge terminal. Well, so much for my anniversary gift!!! I hope Jetblue gets their act together and try to protect their passengers a little bit more. I lost something that could be replaced (by Jetblue I hope) but what if that was something else that could have affected the lives of people in the terminal? Lesson: Don't put on your jewel, put it in your bag, until you board the plane.
