I have been reading some of the reports from New Jersey based Chubbs Institute (Anthem College), and it seem to be policy for this school to discourage the students and instructors from accomplishing they're goal, which should be to give and get the best possible education Chubbs has to offer.
I made the sad mistake of joining Chubbs in march with my at the time 18 year old daughter. I thought I was going to encourage her to get an education in medical billing while improve my own educational level. I fell sick and had to drop out three months later. I requested from Chubbs a leave of absences in which I was told they are not allowed to do. My daughter left for a short period of time to make sure I was fine, only to return and be a little behind. She quickly caught up with the rest of the class. Under what i consider hostile invironment. The teaches was telling the students if they ask question they was slow and didn't not belong in that course and the administration seem to be "MIA" when it came to getting anyone to question the teachers activity. My daughter proceeded to tell me. One of the teachers (at the begining of a class) descided it would be a good idea to leave the class she was teaching or an hour to go to an "steve harvey" book signing event, that was near by.
I tried to contact someone at Chubbs (Anthem college). And try to inquire about what my daughters loan dollars are paying for and was told, in so many words, that my daughters loan dollars does not pay the salaries of the employees of Anthem college, and that she has to learn to "fast track" and work things out for herself.
Now here it is the last week my daughter will be in CHUBBS (ANTHEM COLLEGE) and she has no portfolio accomplished, barely how to fill out medical forms or insurance froms, hardly know how to impliment the Insurance codes or medical terminology. Also when she was called into her job Developers office, she was very unprepared, being an 18yr old girl. She did not know anything about resume building/or cover letters. She also lacked interviewing skills.
It could just be more but I was under the impression that CHubbs (ANTHEM) was going to assist my daughter in learning all of these skills. Here I sit trying to teach my daughter what the school (CHUBBS-ANTHEM) her loan dollars has paid job.
I'm also wondering why haven't Better Business Bureau hasn't closed them down permanently.
