Beware of shopping at this online store

I placed an order and 5 minutes later I found out my daughter bought the same thing as a surprise for me. No more than 10 minutes later I tried to cancel. There was no place on that web site to cancel any item at all. I called the company immediately and got a recorded message that they were closed until Monday. (The order was placed on Sat. Jan. 17th.) I called this am (Jan. 19) and talked to one person first and subsequently asked for a supervisor. I was turned over to Amy Schwartz. I told her they couldn't possibly have started my order since engraving was involved. She said I couldn't talk to the manufacturer, and to make a long story short, I got no where with her. I was ordering a case for the flag that covered my husband's casket so I definately couldn't use two of them. But at this time I didn't need this kind of aggrivation. This is STUPID! She is going to make NO EFFORT to stop the order. I tried to stop payment at my credit card company and he said he couldn't because it wasn't charged yet. I called Ms Schwartz back immediately and told her it definately did not go through yet and she would still make NO EFFORT to help me out. The outcome is that they will make the product, I MUST receive it (If I refuse it they will charge me twice to "re-stock". Then I have to pay to send it back. This is very frustrating and unnecessary! Bottom line for my writing this complaint is to warn people about this site. I don't know what customer "service" means to them but I've never dealth with anyone as snotty as Ms Schwartz. I must say, however, that they have taught me a valuable lesson of life. I'm 67 years old and thought people would at least TRY to help someone out a a bad situation. (A situation of their own making by not allowing someone to delete an order for at least a posted time period. Most sites do. The final outcome is that I HAVE to receive the shipment, I HAVE to pay to return it and they will waive the restocking fee of $10.00. Really big of them when they can avoid ALL of it by just stopping the manufacture of it. (Also they insisted it was being shipped today... Not to call anyone a liar but I've checked their tracking page every hour, and will continue to do so, and I'm willing to bet it will NOT be shipped today. Pat Murray
