We received a letter in the mail from Canada saying we are winners from a multi-national sweepstake sponsored from Wal-mart, JC Pennys, Staples, Home Depot, Shell, McDonalds, Pizza Pizza, Sears and At&t. Along with that letter was sent a check for the amount of $4700 and $2950 was suppose to be sent by money gram for surcharges and govt. Taxes. Before Cashing the check you had to call Chris to activate the check. This letter mentioned that it was confidential and did not require any info from us. The Money Gram was suppose to be sent to a Cathy Edwards in Toronto, Canada. They would send you the remaining winnings IN 24HRS via fedex.
We then realized that something was fishy about all this. We did some research on the internet and saw that the same thing happened to other people across the nation. This is a great time of the year to get peoples hopes up for the holidays. BEWARE of these SCOUNDRELS! Research, will save you a lot of grief. When it sounds to good to be true, IT IS!
