I was also contacted from first web search through a telemarketing call as well. I was given a demonstration of how they focus on search engine optimization and how they will put me in a favorable positon of google, msn, and yahoo and they would also create a website for me. They Charged me $1495 for the website and $2990 for search engine optimization. I was suppose to have 6 month campaign. I had the choice of canceling or if i continue to keep their service they would automatically renew my service and charge my credit card.
Well, I set up with a bogus website they never fully functioned or worked it had broke links in the website where if customers were navigating through the website it say errors. I had wrote a total of 57 emails to Nick and phile to correct the website so that customer would get the full information without link errors and they would reply to my email and fix some of the errors but not all. So i continued to email them to fix the problems. However never fixed the situations, never replied back to my emails once it got close to my six months.
Because of their lack of professionalism, i requested a refund and they refused because they said they did work however they never completely made a professional and fully operatable website.
So i was forced to go the my credit company and dispute the charges i charged for first web search services and sent my company 73 pages of broke promises they Service was suppose to offer, all the emails of communication i sent to them to have the errors corrected, the letter i wrote to the president about their unprofessionalism. This went on for 3 months and i was credited back my money for only the $2990 for SEo but not the website so These guys still benefited from $1495 for a broken website. So credit card company saw that this company rendered their services by not producing the services they promised.
A Couple of months later i recieved a collection notice for almost $7000 on behalf of firstweb search with their number to contact. When i called the number A guy named phil answered the phone and explained to me that i own them the money of $2990 because they want to ge paid the work they done. Ironically the same amount of money i had refunded back to me for service rendered i won in a dispute from my credit card company. Phil threaten me by saying this is going to affect your credit report, any time you want to buy a house, its going to follow you. He explained if I pay the $2990 they will dropp the rest of the fees because the fees are lawyer fees and fees they paid to send to collections.
So I sent all the documentation of proof back the collection agency to show them i have been ripped off and just awaiting to here back from them. I will let you know how it went.

They are charging $1495 for websites that they do not make fully operatable and refuse to fix the solutions or refund your money back they will telemarket phone call you and walk you through a demonstration for seo and helping your site rank on the first 2 pages of msn, yahoo, and google. Dont get suckered in.
They will charge you #$2990 for seo and will promise to give you 20 keywords that they will selected to help you rank in the search engine. Be careful...
Also if you have been a victem of First websearch go search for a lawyer i have been give great advise from a website called Justanswer.com have bunch of lawyers to get advise on how get your money back if you are victem or if they tried send your info to collections.
